Watercolor Painting Classes & Workshops

I have always believed that art is a form of inspiration, communication, and healing; it gives us voice and the ability to create imagery that invites conversation. It connects us to a sense of place, people, and feelings. The art we create reflects who we are, what we believe, and how we see the world around us.

    Nature in the Cracks

Nature is all around us; you don’t have to travel far to experience nature’s wonders if you’re willing to slow down and notice--birds nesting in the letters that spell your local grocery store, chicory growing in the sidewalk cracks, and spiderwebs clinging to powerlines—it's a wild world out there, folks.

Through observation and wonder, we’ll practice the art of seeing nature in both wild and urban settings and create a spread of the creatures and plants we find along the way while reconnecting with nature. This course isn’t about creating a perfect piece of art; it's about deepening our understanding of the world around us by recording observations, thoughts, and moments. Our sketchbooks will be a place to keep us creative, curious, and connected as we sketch, paint, and write about our relationships with nature.

All supplies provided, however, a water media sketchbook is recommended.

This class does involve some walking and hiking depending on location.

    Duration: 2 hours
